Here, I will discuss regressions and regression therapies. For the uninitiated these can seem to be kind of mystical. But in reality, that thinking is far from the truth.

Regressions can be categorized in two ways: age regression and past-life regression. The two are very similar in approach, but simply look at a different space in time. Age regression is merely going backward in time within the lifetime you are now experiencing. One of the common uses for this is to help a person locate something they have misplaced. It is also sometimes used to help uncover when a particular problem began for a person, in order to deal with that issue.

Past-Life regressions, though identical in theory, are different in that they direct the subconscious to recall memories of another lifetime. Even though science does not yet understand these memories, many years of scientific research, experimentation, study and practice have been devoted to it. I am aware that for many, religious beliefs do not allow for this. I respect that, and will never, in any way try to convince a person to believe something that they do not. At one time I disbelieved in this theory, as well– but my own experience changed my mind.

Why would a person wish to undertake a past-life regression? The reasons are many. Often it is a mere curiosity for that person. In some cases a person is only trying to decide what they believe regarding reincarnation, or trying to verify something someone told them about their past-life history. In these cases a single-session, basic regression is all that is called for.

However, through a technique in deep regression, many things can be accomplished. There are cases on record where deep-seated fears and phobias have been cured using deep regression techniques. Many people experience transpersonal shifts—extremely spiritual experiences—through these sessions. Some people learn the purpose for their current lifetime, or come away with an understanding of the relationships they are experiencing with others.

Deep regression is not for everybody - it can be a deeply emotional experience. I conduct these using a two-session technique. The first session merely acquaints you with the idea of hypnosis; how it works, what to expect, etc. Then we will do some practice, teaching your mind how to enter a hypnotic state, some work to deepen that state, as well as possibly some training of the mind to work backward in time.

I like to have a two-week break between the first and second session. This break is used for you (the client) to do some homework—further training your mind for the intense session we are about to undertake. I will give you a CD for homework, which I would like you to complete at least 10 times before the second session.

The second session is where we get really intense. In this session I will guide you into past lives, but also to the phases in-between—the times where you can really tap into what “makes you tick.” These sessions can last anywhere from 3 to 5 hours. I will not schedule any other work on days when these are scheduled– as they can be very emotionally draining for me, as well.

In some cases a person may choose to do additional deep sessions. Since we have already covered the basics and began training the mind to do this, we can delve in quickly. These sessions take a long time, and are therefore also costly. However, many people have made profound changes in their lives through them.

By the way—in no way can I ever guarantee that anything experienced during a past-life regression is absolutely true, nor can I guarantee that the lives seen were actually experienced by your soul. However, many people have experienced past-life regressions and after the fact been able to prove and verify the things they saw. So, I ask you to keep an open mind when using this service. Regardless of whether you can prove anything you saw or experienced in a regression—particularly a deep session, the point is for you to experience major change or enlightenment in your life.

I will also add that my passion for this (regression) work is based upon my own transpersonal experience with it. My first regression was not something I was seeking at that time, but had such a profound effect on me that my life changed as a result. Since then I have read and studied much on the subject, as well as practiced with many people.

If you would like to learn more, here is a brief list of authors or books that I recommend. The Idiots Guide to Past-Life Regression; books by Brian L. Weiss ,MD (such as Many Lives, Many Masters) or books written by Michael Newton, PhD, (Life Between Lives, for example.) They are all well written, easy to read and quite informative.
